Will Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode Get Hot To The Touch
Updated 01/16/2017 | Published 01/13/2017 >
Question:
I bought an RM-690 and installed it.A couple of questions that I have before I consider the installation complete. The application is on a trailer to keep backfeed from the house and breakaway batteries. Is this diode expected to get hot? Would it be a bad idea to have it mounted inside the box with the other wires?

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode, part # RM-690 can get warm to the touch when it is being used.
It is best not to have it mounted inside a covered box along with other wiring to be on the safe side.
