For your 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche 4x4, I recommend the Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear, # AL60769. These air springs are a confirmed fit for your vehicle. The springs fit inside your rear coil springs to add support when hauling heavy loads. This system allows you to manually adjust air pressure to get the even load distribution and support you need. These springs have a 1,000 lb capacity and are adjustable from 5-35 psi.
You may also be interested in pairing this with the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Single Path, # AL25592. This will give you the in cab adjustability. It will restore air spring pressure automatically when it is too low to protect your system. I've attached a video for you.
