Is Fish Wire long Enough To Install Hardware For Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch On 2015 Subaru Forester
Updated 11/21/2016 | Published 11/19/2016 >
Question:
How long is the fish wire? I ask because on the 2015 Subaru Forester, there is a forth hole slightly wider than 1 1/8inch diameter. This is larger than the any of the three bolt holes in the same frame. Your instructions suggest widening the middle of the three bolt holes to allow for ion of the the block and bolt. Why are we overlooking the forth hole? If the fish wire is long enough to reach the 4th hole, there will be no need of drilling, filing or otherwise altering any of the holes. Am I missing something here? Thank you in advance

The fish wire included with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 75876 is designed to be used with the access hole you asked about and is long enough. I have attached the instructions and could not find anywhere that a hole needed to be altered. The heat shield does need to be trimmed.
You will need to replace the plug you took out of the access hole when finished installing the hitch.
