What Wrench Makes Installing Upper Bolt of Draw Tite Hitch 24819 Easier

Question:

size ratcheting wrench to buy to fit upper bolt? it seems everyone has trouble with the upper bolt or nut. this installation problem is holding up my purchase. 2009 Toyota Yaris hatchback 5 door automatic. and when I get it installed, will it pull a small trailer hauling a riding lawnmower? the last review i read, the guy says take off the plastic bumper... should I? 3rd: how does this compare to the curt 110503 trailer hitch in Pulling a trailer without tearing out the rear-end of the Yaris? CURT 110503 Class 1 Trailer Hitch with Old-Style Ball Mount, Pin and Clip thanks... still on the on which to purchase today!

The size wrench or socket used for installing the hardware of the # 24819 is 1/2 inch although one customer said he used a 13 mm. A couple customers have came back and said that flat wrenches or ratcheting wrenches would help the most for the difficult to access bolt. Smaller hands seems to be the consensus as well.

I attached a video that shows the install as well. I wouldn't recommend removing the bumper.

Between the Curt and the Draw Tite I like the Draw Tite better since it doesn't require a stabilizer strap with the use of a bike rack.

Check the owners manual of your vehicle for info on towing as most likely the vehicle is not rated for it.
