Question:

I have a 2016 Ford F250 Super Duty w/factory 2-1/2 inch Class 5 receiver hitch with factory reducer sleeve, towing a 9000 pound travel trailer with Weight Distributing Hitch with 2 inch shank. With this setup, I immediately experienced a bent factory hitch pin. I was considering BX88312 to lock down/immobilize the up/down motion of the hitch, caused by play in both the factory reducer sleeve and the hitch shank. A couple of reviews mentioned fitment problems with Ram and Chevy. Can you verify this fits the Ford F250 factory receiver w/o modifications, and can this handle a 9000 pound trailer?

The Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer III # BX88312 is a universal fit and we haven't had the opportunity to test it on a 2016 Ford F-250 factory trailer hitch so I can't verify how well it will fit on your truck. The same goes for a 9000 pound trailer since it doesn't actually carry a weight capacity rating. However, the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II # BX88225 has reviews of customers reporting it worked very well with their trailers weighing 7000 pounds.
