Will 18-1/4" x 12" Holding Tank Heater Pad # 277-000164 Work on 30 Gallon Freshwater Tank

Question:

Does the entire bottom of the holding tank need to be covered? I have a 30 gallon fresh water tank and the grey and black tanks are about 15 gallons each. Also where is a good place to spice in the wires to hook it up. Thanks

The 18-1/4" x 12" Holding Tank Heater Pad # 277-000164 that you referenced would work well for your 30 gallon fresh water tank as it is designed for 29-40 gallon tanks.

The heater is powerful enough that it would not need to make contact with the entire bottom of the tank. It would generate enough heat with it's pad size of 18-1/4 inch by 12 inch size to keep it warm.

The pad runs off of DC power (what a vehicle runs off of) so you would need to either use a converter to adapt AC power to power it or run it straight off of the RV battery with a switch.
