Thanks. We got the instructions for the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek trailer hitch, NOW WE NEED INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE 2016 Subaru Crosstrek wiring harness. The video instructions are for the 2015 Subaru Crosstrek. My husband says that the vehicle to trailer connector has video instructions to connect it on the left behind the drivers seat, but the instructions that came today with the electrical harness says that the Vehicle to trailer connector is on the right side behind the passenger seat. Which side is the vehicle to trailer connector for the 2016 Subaru Crosstrek? Right behind the passenger seat or Left behind the drivers seat??? Thanks. Written instructions are different than video instructions! Which set of instructions do we follow for our 2016 Subaru Crosstrek? Thanks so much. Please advise.

Since the Curt harness part # C56040 that you have for your 2016 Subaru Crosstrek is a fit for a few different models of Subarus we have found that the connector instructions in the install instructions aren't always accurate.
The video I attached shows where you will find the connector. It will be behind the driver seat.
