I can help you with the process of replacing the Tail Clamp Assembly # EX1035 for your Extang Solid Fold or Solid Fold 2.0 tonneau cover. The replacement process will be different depending on if your existing cover is the Solid Fold or the Solid Fold 2.0. I spoke with my contact at Extang to learn more about the different replacement processes. She also confirmed that they do not have a specific set of instructions on how to replace the tail clamps.
For the Solid Fold cover, you will have to cut as access hole to be able to remove the existing tail clamp and to install the new one.
On the Solid Fold 2.0, there is a clamp cover that will be removed. My contact at Extang confirmed that there is a screw in the clamp cover that will allow the cover to be taken off so that the clamp can be removed.
I have attached a photo from the installation instructions of the Solid Fold 2.0 cover that references the tail clamps for you.
