Question:
Do these use lag screws from the bottom to hold the boards on? How do people put these on, the boat has to be off the trailer so what is the best way to put the replacement boards on. Thank You

Expert Reply:
Boat trailer bunk boards like CE Smith # CE27840 can be secured to swivel brackets like # CE10000G-4 using either galvanized or stainless steel hardware intended for wood. This is not included so you will source the preferred hardware locally. Lag bolts/screws would be great to secure the bunks to the brackets (as long as they are short enough to not come through the bunk).
Obviously the boat would have to be off the trailer to be able to install the bunks like you mentioned so you would have to dock it somewhere and either take the trailer back home to work on adding the bunks or install them in the parking lot.
