U-Bolt Kit Similar to APUBR-8 But with Galvanized U-Bolts

Published 08/01/2016

Question:

I want to replace 2 leaf springs 4 leaves on my 5er. The appropriate spring is the UNA-111 5 leaves, thus I need new/longer U-bolts. The existing U-bolt is 3x6x1/2 therefore, the next longer one appears to be a 3x7x1/2. You have 4 possible matches for this requirement. Product #1755892, single U-bolt: #1755892-Z, zinc coated single U-bolt: #SP01-060, 2 U-bolts, not zinc coated: #APUBR-8, 4 U-bolts, 2 plates, not coated kit: Im wondering if there is a difference in U-bolts with products 1755892 and APUBR-8? Also wondering if you would put a kit together with product 1755892-Z, zinc coated plates,? Or, sell zinc coated U-bolts in pairs like the not coated ones?! Personally, I would prefer the zinc coated kit ! : Thanks for any info. Pesky returning customer

The U-bolt kit part # APUBR-8 contains the U-bolts part # 1755892 that you also referenced. It just also contains the nuts and plates needed which you would need.

For a kit with the # 1755892-Z you would just also need the plates part # TRTP300200 for if you have 2 inch wide springs or part # TRTP300175 for if you have 1-3/4 inch springs.
