How to Install the Replacement Quick Exhaust Valve RM-450601-50
Updated 07/15/2016 | Published 07/14/2016 >
Question:
There were no instructions on how to install this part. Since air flow direction is critical its operation, I felt there should have been an instruction sheet in the package with the part especially since it didnt look exactly like the older version. Question: Why isnt it possible to unscrew the back off the part and a new diaphragm or whatever goes inside the unit. Seems a waste to toss the entire metal unit for a small part that goes inside.

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster about helping you get the part # RM-450601-50 installed properly. Here was their response:
Simply orient the Quick Exhaust Valve just like in the pictures, with the acorn top as the inlet and the bottom side port as the out port in to the air cylinder. Also, the reason you can't take the valve apart and replace it with a new diaphragm is because it is purchased with it installed and parts are not available to do so.
