Question:

I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 Crew cab with the 5 1/2 foot bed, and plastic covers on the side rail, and a Truxedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau cover. What I am curious about is how to attach this rack to the side rails. The front side-rail holes are covered, so I assume that I need to cut those covers out. The rear side-rail holes are exposed, but they are not square, they are longer with a wedge shape at the rear. Your installation instructions only show how to put the rack together, not the mounting portion. Thanks

Good news! I was able to go out to our warehouse and find the instructions for the # TH21501 base rails which are included in the Trac Rac Kit # TH43002XT-782 that is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.5 foot bed. I will be sending them to you in a separate email.

Basically the rails will install as a drill through assembly, as seen in the attached image. I have also linked the location of the installation hole for the base rail that you will use for your Silverado 1500, in a second image to this page. This ladder rack will also work great with your Truxedo Lo Pro QT Tonneau Cover # TX571801.
