Question:
I want to replace my boat trailer tires. ST 205 75r 14 is what is on my trailer now. All the new tires that I am looking at are ST 205 75D 14. What is the difference and will this tire perform the same at my existing tire?

The only differences between a ST205/75R-14 and a ST205/75R-14 is that the first size is a bias ply tire, the second is a radial tire. Radial tires are preferred for highway travel, as they do a better job of shedding heat and therefore run cooler. This is desirable as excess heat is the number one cause of premature tire failure, followed closely by failing to keep the tire fully inflated to the tire pressure listed on the tire sidewall, overloading and exceeding the tire's speed rating.
If you click the provided link, you can see the ST205/75R14 tires we offer in C or D load range. Load range C has a 1760 lb capacity per tire at 50psi, load range D has a 2040 lb capacity per tire at 65psi.
For a load range C tire, go with part # TR20514 or # AM10235 for a load range D.
