How to Lubricate Fastway/Diversi-Tech Locking Ball Mount

Question:
I have a ball mount hitch that has the two sizes of ball on it. I am having difficulty in turning my key to install the hitch. Also the adjustment key is hard to turn.what can be done and how can it be done to rectify this problem. Like the hitch just dont want to break the key off.

It sounds as if you have a Diversi-Tech or Fastway adjustable ball mount like part # DTALBM6600. I spoke with the manufacturer, who recommends that you use air tool oil to lubricate the lock and the pins that lock the ball mount into the hitch receiver. This is something that you might need to do several times before everything frees up. They also recommend that you remove the ball mount from the hitch when it's not being used.
