Question:
I lost my keys for my DTALBM6600 hitch and was wondering if I bought this kit. 2-Pack Re-Keying Kit for Diversi-Tech DTLBM and DTALBM Series Aluminum Ballmounts. could I replace the lock I have, even though I do not have the original key, with one of the ones in this set?

You can purchase Re-Keying Kit, # DTLBM02RK, to re-key your ball mount. The kit includes a tool to remove the locking cylinder you have in the ball mount now.
Once you receive the kit, you will need to put some air tool oil in the hole that the lock set screw goes in and let it soak for a while. This will release the thread locker and allow you to remove the set screw. The set screw is located under a piece of tape on the ball mount.
Once you get the Re-Key Kit or if you know the key number for your ball mount, you can order more replacement keys by entering part # DTKEYR followed by the number on your new keys in the search box on our site. I added a link to an example replacement key for you to see how to enter the part number.

Does anyone know what size the allen key is for the set screw. For some reason the tumbler on my lock on the ball section has hung up and will not engage. It only turns part way. If i can get the set screw out then I can remove the tumbler to see why it hung up.
