J Style Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a Yakima Round Bar Roof Rack

Question:
Have a Yakima round bar system and want to mount a couple of SportRack J kayak carriers Tried a friends carrier and it did not clamp all that well to the round rod-would fall down going over bumps Would like to pin each of the 4 carriers to the rodsdo the carriers have suitable holes to drill thru? Thanks,

I can't recommend you drill through your Yakima round bars to pin the Sportrack J-Kayak Carrier # SR5511 to it.
Instead I would recommend a Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073 which was specifically designed to fit Yakima round bars and would work well for you. The rack can fold down when not in use as well which is nice.
