Gooseneck Tripod Stabilizer for 5th Wheel Trailer with Reese Goose Box Adapter

My Silverback 29RE is equipped with a Reese Goosebox, and I would like to find a stabilizer tripod that will support the pin weight. Can you make a recommendation? I am willing to modify a regular tripod if needed by welding a 2 5/16 ball to the top of the tripod. Would that work?

Since your 5th wheel trailer is using a Reese Goose Box 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter you will need to use a tripod stabilizer for gooseneck couplers such as # UF19-950400. This tripod is rated for 1,200 pounds pin weight and is height adjustable from 33 inches to 43 inches.

I assume that the trailer will also be resting on its landing gear jacks so the weight is most likely not an issue. This is the only gooseneck tripod we have though so if the height or capacity will not work then you would have to use a 5th wheel tripod such as # UF19-950500. However if you go that route and modify it by adding a 2-5/16 inch ball it will void the warranty and make the capacity unknown.
