Can the Convert a Ball Fifth Wheel Adapter be Used on a Mor/Ryde Pin Box

Updated 06/20/2024 | Published 12/07/2015

Question:

I recently purchased a 36ft toyhauler that has the morryde pin box on it. I dont know if it has the optional morryde gooseneck adapter plate RPB-77-006 on it or not. I have the cab-C5G adapter and my ford f-350 has gooseneck hitch already in the bed. I have not pick the trailer up from the dealer yet. but was wondering if it would do any damage by using the adapter if by chance it didnt have the optional RPB-77-006 PLATE on it. only need to haul it about sixty miles from the dealer to get it home. and then I can take it off and check to see what it has and hopefully get what I need from you guys. Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Convert-A-Ball and he informed me that you would totally be fine using the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5G on your trailer with a cushioned Mor/Ryde pin box.

The two sets of cushions will work together to provide you with a very smooth ride.

I have a flatbed on a 2015 ram 3500 w resessed ball. Can I use cab-c5g adapter on my 35ft jayco with mor/ryde 5th wheel?

As long as the recessed cutout on your flat bed is decently sized (most are) then the Convert-A-Ball Adapter # CAB-C5G is a really great solution. It's actually pretty popular for this type of application.
