How Long Should it Take to Install a Draw-Tite 24926 on 2015 Volkswagen Jetta?

Question:
Before I start calling around for quotes to install this on my 2015 Jetta, would you folks be comfortable giving me a rough approximation of how many man-hours I should expect to be billed for the installation? Thanks!

We estimate the install time of the Draw-Tite # 24926 for a professional installer to be approximately 1 hour. However, for a novice it will take longer to install. Install time will depend on the tools and experience of the installer.
If you have a local shop install the hitch, it is difficult to say how much time they will bill. Installation will require trunk access, lowering the exhaust, and removing part of the underbody fascia. If the shop doesn't often install trailer hitches, it may take them longer than the time we estimate.
