My Suburban hot water heater manual says the replacement anode is # 231624 . The overall length of the old one is almost 9 inches. Which one do I order to replace it? The camco 3/4 inch by 9 1/2 ?

Camco hot water heater anode # CAM11593 is designed for 10 gallon Atwood heaters. Since you have a Suburban you should be able to use # CAM11563 which is for Suburban (Mor-Flo) heaters.
