Replacement Anode Rod For A Suburban 6 Gallon RV Waters Heater

Updated 02/26/2024 | Published 02/20/2024

Question:

This reply is for Kevin C as he had responded to my initial question: Kevin, my apologies for the delay in responding to your reply. I ordered an anode just before I received your email and wanted to wait until I received it to determine if it was the correct one. My husband said the one I purchased from etrailer was for a 10 gallon tank and ours is a 6 gallon. Attached you will find the pictures of the sticker you suggested I send you I hope youre able to obtain the information you need....it was very difficult to get my phone in position for the picture. In addition, I have attached a copy of the label on the box and item I ordered. Thank you for your assistance. Kathi

Hi Kathi,

Now that I know you have a Suburban 6 gallon I was able to determine that you'll indeed need a 3/4" diameter anode rod # CAM11563 instead of the 1/2" diameter anode rod # CAM11593 that you purchased.

Kevin, we have researched the anode - Magnesium vs Aluminum - and feel the Magnesium would be best. Would you let me know the item # for the Magnesium anode that would work best for our travel trailer? Thank you, Kathi

@Kathi It looks like we don't offer the correct sizing in magnesium, but you should be able to find one at your local hardware store.
