Question:
I have a sterling tow bar that is 16 yrs old. One of the inner arms is stiff and has come out further than the other. What is the life expectancy of the tow bar. Is it repairable and if so what repair kits do I need?

I spoke to my contact at Roadmaster and he said that your Sterling has about doubled it's life expectancy. Typically they only last 8-10 years and 40-80k miles depending on driving habits.
Your best option is going to be to replace your Sterling with a new one like the # RM-576 as your is most likely ready for retirement in other areas other than the arms of the tow bar as well. This is what my contact at Roadmaster strongly recommended.
