Hello, I have a 2014 Mazda3 5 door and am thinking of getting a hitch carrier. The Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier - C18110 looks like a good bet. Will that work with my vehicle? How much weight would the Mazda3 be able to handle on this carrier? Thank you

If you don't already have a hitch, you'll need to begin by installing that. I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class I receiver hitch, part # 24914. The Curt indeed be compatible with the Class I hitch as well as with your vehicle. The carrier features an adjustable shank that provides plenty of ground clearance, and allows you to adjust the amount of space between the cargo tray and the rear of the vehicle.

The hitch itself has a 200 lb tongue weight capacity, the tongue weight represents the maximum amount of weight that can be suspended from the hitch. This means that 30 lb weight of the carrier plus the weight of the cargo can't exceed 200 lbs.
