Will Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket Fit a 2012 Mazda 3 Sedan with Rhino-Rack Square Bar Roof Rack

Question:

Hi there experts, I recently purchased a rhino-rack set up for my 2012 mazda 3 sedan. As recommended I purchased the rhino-rack euro bars DS118B and attachments for the factory mounts DK289. I have my eye on the Curt cargo basket #C18115 and want to double check that it will have a proper fit before purchase. My main concern is with the Euro bars. The attaching fixtures appear to accommodate aero and round cars but the placement for the square bars is questionable. So will this A fit my vehicle and B properly attach to the euro bars without adapters. Also if adapters are required, what would those be? Thank you for your help and consideration

The center to center distance between the crossbars on your Rhino-Rack roof rack with Euro style bars should be approximately 24 inches. The Curt basket # C18115 fits bar spreads of 15, 22, or 29 inches apart. Since the hardware for the Curt basket will fit bars up to 3 inches wide, there is enough wiggle room for the basket to fit your roof rack.

Adapters are not needed. The u-bolts will clamp around the crossbars no matter if they are square, round, or elliptical.
