What is the maximum width for a cargo box that would fit on the Rola #59883? Thanks!

The spacing of the feet of cargo boxes will be narrower than the overall width of the cargo box. So basically what that means is you could use any cargo box so long as it has attachments that are compatible with the Rola crossbar dimensions and spread (spread being the center to center distance from one bar to the other). I believe the widest box we have is around 38-1/3 inches # TRX34FR.
