Will a Dexter 1600 brake actuator work for drum brakes? I recently changed from Disc to Drum

I spoke with my contact at Dexter and he said the Dexter Electric Over Hydraulic Brake Actuator # K71-651 is for disc brakes applications. A unit designed for disc brakes does not have a check valve so the drum brakes cannot function properly.

For drum brakes you can use # K71-650. This actuator has a check valve that supplies a little bit of pressure on the wheel cylinders that allows the drum brakes to function properly.
