Question:

Looking at getting a brake controller for my 2002 Toyota Sienna. Is there a plug in wiring adapter available for this vehicle or do I need to go the ETBC7 universal installation kit route?

Since there is no brake controller port on your 2002 Sienna, no plug-in adapter is available. You will need to install part # ETBC7. I have attached a diagram that shows how the wiring should be run when installing the # ETBC7. This plugs into your 4-way connector on your Sienna and the remaining 4 wires are connected in the following manner: Black wire is run to the vehicle battery. Blue wire is run to the brake controller blue wire. The white wire is grounded to the vehicle frame and the purple wire is hardwired to the vehicle reverse lights. For a brake controller I recommend the Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This is a proportional brake controller and is one of our most popular since it is easy to install and operate.
