Question:
I am in the process of purchasing a 2015 Ram 3500 truck and am in the process of looking for a 5th wheel hitch for it. One of the requirements I have is that the hitch be easily removable and that the mounting system be below the bed i.e. no permanent rails. Ive looked at the RAM 5th wheel/goose neck prep kit but am having problems finding a truck with this installed. So, now Im looking at getting an aftermarket mount. I was originally looking for a Reese below bed rail kit but I cant find one. At present the only option I see is the BandW gooseneck mount BWGNRK1314-5W. Is this the only option for a below bed mount for the 2015 Rams?

Expert Reply:
The B and W Companion setup you referenced part number # BWGNRK1314-5W for the rail kit and part # BWRVK3500-5W would be a great setup for your 2015 Ram 3500 long bed without the factory rail kit.
The other option you have for an underbed fifth wheel setup would be the Demco Hijacker UMS part # DM8550032 and the Rail kit part # DM8551006.
Both of these setups would work great, but the Companion hitch has one of the best reputations on the market so I would recommend you go that route.
