Question:

what else will need to hook tow bar to 1999 wrangler with stock flat bumper,does it come with safety cables,all brackets etc.is this the best hitch for this app.will be towing jeep with a gmc 2500 hd.

The RoadMaster StowMaster Car-Mounted Tow Bar - 6,000 lbs, # RM-501, is a very good application on your 1999 Jeep Wrangler with the flat U-channel bumper being towed by a GMC 2500 HD. It does not include any safety cables or base plate brackets.

You will need to purchase the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit, # 1420-1, which attaches to the tow vehicle frame. These brackets then allow the tow bar to attach to the tow vehicle.

I also have safety cables available for the tow bar. You can use RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables - 6,000 lbs, # RM-643.

You will also need towing lights to put on the Jeep. You could use the Custer Magnetic Towing Light Kit, 20 ft. Long Cord, # RM-2120, which has a non-scratch magnetic base and can plug into your 4-way connector.
