Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Subaru Outback

Question:
Hi there. I just now heard about you. We want to buy a 17foot deluxe casita and a 2015 Suburu Outback. Without something like your hitch the the 395 tongue weight exceeds the 200 lb outback hitch weight. Do you think with your hitch this combo of Outback and Casita would work? Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite part # 75673 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Subaru Outback and has a 600 lb tongue weight rating so IT has enough capacity for towing your trailer, but if the vehicle ends up having a lower tongue weight capacity than the hitch you have to go with the lower of the two ratings as the overall capacity since you are only as strong as your weakest towing component.
Basically you will need to figure out the weight of your trailer when it will be loaded and ready to tow and make sure it is less than the towing capacities for the hitch and vehicle to be safe.
