Rise and Drop of Curt Weight Distribution Shank # 17121
Updated 05/11/2015 | Published 05/09/2015 >
Question:
The Curt website says this shank has a 9inch rise and an 11inch drop. Why are your specs different?

Expert Reply:
Curt measures rise and drop differently and they also round to the nearest whole number. We measure rise or drop from the top of the trailer hitch receiver opening to the top of the ball platform (or in this case to the top of the weight distribution head ball platform). And we do not round off the numbers.
