Today on our camper we'll be taking a look at and installing the Lippert Components RV entry screen door latch, right hand, Part Number LC201471. Also available is a left hand, Part Number LC201472. Secure your screen door with the Lippert latch. It's made out of a durable plastic construction with an easy to use spring loaded lever. Now we'll be going over some of the features and go ahead and show you how to get it installed. We're just simply going to replacing our old latch.
It was broken, so I had already removed it because it was in pieces. We just need to make sure the flat end of the latch here sits nice and flat and flush up against the screen door. We're going to be using the same holes that our old latch was on. You will need to provide your own hardware. As you can see with it being aligned up just as the old one was perfectly, it's going to strike with the striker and be perfect.
Let's go ahead and get that mounted up. The hardware I'm using here today is just a bigger self tapper. That way it goes into the same hole. Perfect. In addition to the screen door latch, you might want to consider picking up the Lippert Components RV outside striker for the screen door and that's going to be Part Number LC198252. That's going to do it for our Lippert Components RV entry screen door latch, right hand, Part Number LC201471..

When I bought my older camper, the screen door had no working latch and was wired to the door to keep them from banging around. I found this latch and strike plate online and ordered them. They arrived quickly and were easily installed. We had a working screen door for last year's entire season and were so pleased! There's nothing nicer than being able to enjoy the clean, cool morning air.
This is not an exact fit. It had three little knobs on the back side that prevented it from resting flush. The screw slot did not have any horizontal room to move so i ended up having to drill two new holes. All in all it only took about 15 mins and once done it was a good fit.

Working well.
Part was correct. Minor altercation. Easy install. Etrailer has been my go to for my RV parts.
It’s nearly an identical door latch to the original one on my screen door. But the screw holes are about an 1/8th” offset from center on it ant the original holes are centered in the
latch, so not wanting to blow out the holes in the screen door I think I’ll just keep trying to find the exact fit for it.

This was a perfect replacement for a broken door latch on our screen door. Just determine if you need a right or left handle and order it. It is just like the original.

This is a replacement handle because the one that came on the trailer fell apart. The screen door handle was shipped immediately. I am pleased with the service from trailer.

Doesn't fit
I wanted to replace the old latch with the extra same latch and this one filled the bill. The mounting holes were slightly off from the old, requiring drilling new holes. While a minor irritation, the latch functions perfectly once mounted.
Part was exactly what we needed. It has been installed and currently in use.

Had to redrill a bit but it was fine
It wasn’t like the original as this one has lips on the back. The original one had a flat surface. It didn’t line up with the original holes. Also, it would be nice if the part came with “all” pieces needed for installation such as screws. Aside from that I’m pleased.
Perfect replacement latch
Factory replacement, works great. Shipping was fast.
The Lippert latch I received was the same as what was on the door EXCEPT that the screw holes were a fraction of an inch off and I ended up drilling new holes in the door in order for it to properly fit and operate as it should. The new latch covered the old holes and it works properly. Overall, I am pleased with the result.

Still working great 1 year later.

It works as a door handle. the only thing negative is that the protrusion part seems to be smaller as i had to put some washers behind the block portion in order to make the protrusion latch behind the block.
