Question:
My resevior is about half full of fluid. Brakes seem to work fine. Leaks fluid out the vent hole on the filler cap. If I fill to 3/4 full, spits fluid out all over tailgate and bumper. Not good for paint. Should I plug the vent hole? Very difficult to hitch and un-hitch coupler. I noticed a lot of complaints with rather obvious advice. Seems to be an issue. I will try adjusting lock nut. Not very happy with this actuator Any advice on the leaky cap issue much appreciated And yes, its tight.

If the cap of your Titan Model 60 actuator part # T43397007K is shooting fluid out of the filler cap one of two things is happening. Either there is a clog somewhere on your brake lines or the master cylinder is having some type of problem. The reservoir of an actuator should not have pressure or fluid backfeeding into it when actuated.
What you will want to do is remove the brake line from the actuator and pump the actuator. If fluid comes out of the actuator and not the filler cap at all then the problem is that you have a clogged brake line. If the problem still persists then the issue is somewhere in the master cylinder.
For a replacement master cylinder you would want the part # T4395100.
