Difference Between the Curt Weight Distribution Systems C17007 and C17057
Published 04/21/2015 >
Question:
What is the difference between the 17057 and the 17007? My equipment trailer will weigh around 11000 pounds loaded. I assume one of these will work fine. I read that the spring bars should be removed when backing, but how sharp of an angle will cause issues? Will sharp turns going forward cause problems also?

I checked with Curt and there isn't a difference between the Curt Weight Distribution systems part # C17007 and # C17057 that you referenced. Either part number will be for the same system.
It's hard to say exactly what angle will cause problems for a WD when backing up, so the best recommendation I can make would be that if the trailer is being backed up mainly in a straight line you would be fine. But otherwise, I would recommend removing the spring bars.
