Surge Brake Actuator Recommendation to Convert Trailer From Air Over Hydraulic Brakes

I have an m105 military trailer with air over hydraulic drum brakes. I have read on your website how to convert them to electric over hydraulic. I am interested in converting it to surge brakes, not electric over hydraulic. Can I just simply replace the rigid pintle ring with a hydraulic actuator that either has a pintle or ball.

Yes you can, all you need is a surge actuator that is compatible with drum brakes and you would be good to go.
For one that has a lunette ring on it you would want the part Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator # T4093200. This has an 8k capacity.
