i have no power to the wiring under the dash the stop wire is hot when engaged need to know if it rtequries a relay or fuse under the hood

There are a few connections you need to make under the hood of your 2005 Chevy Tahoe before the brake controller wiring will be complete. Check out the FAQ article I attached to see the connections that need to be made.
Once complete you will be able to install a brake controller like our best selling/performing proportional brake controller the Prodigy P2 part # 90885 with the install harness part # 3015-P.
