How to Determine What Trailer Lighting is Required Based on Dimensions of the Trailer
Published 12/23/2014 >
Question:
Sorry about my ignorance. Will we need amber turn signal lights with these or is just the red fine? Trailer is a smaller auto detailing trailer about 70 to 80 inches wide and maybe 12 to 15 feet long, Single axle. Also, we recently ran new wiring from the lights to the car. Are we able to just cut and splice these lights in without running the wires to the front? The trailer is never submerged. Thank you

To determine what you will need as far as trailer lighting is concerned you will need to go out and measure the dimensions of your trailer. Once you know the overall length and width check out the FAQ article I attached to the right. It will walk you through how to determine what lighting is required for your trailer.
Most likely the # TLL16RK would be all that you would need to legal, but check out the FAQ first.
If your trailer already has wiring run for trailer lights you would only need to tap the assemblies of this kit into that wiring for it to function.
