Where is the serial number located?

Normally the serial number can be found on the lower part of one of the legs of a jack like the Pro Series Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack, part # PSEJ10000101 you referenced.

It is typically on a sticker or may be on an attached plate. If you are trying to find replacement parts for a trailer jack, many times they are just not available and it is better to simply replace the jack.

Since you have a Bulldog sidewind trailer jack the better option for a beveled gear kit is the part #BD500106 I attached a picture for that shows all of the dimensions.

I spoke with my contact at Bulldog and he stated that the Replacement Sidewind Gear Kit, #BD500106, fits on a 1/2 inch diameter shaft. This kit is designed for Bulldog series 139, 159 and 170 jacks.

In order to replace the bevel gears on your HappiJac 4550 you'll want to use the Replacement Bevel Gears #LC182851. I was able to confirm this with my contact at Lippert.

I measured the #BD500106 with a digital caliper and found them to be exactly 0.703 of an inch thick or 45/64 if you prefer fractions. I have edited a photo showing this and the other relevant dimensions of the gear kit.

Yes, there is 15 teeth per each gear on the Replacement Gear Kit for etrailer and Ram Sidewind Jacks #TJA-2000S-GR. These gears have a thickness of 0.5", an OD of 1.36", and an ID of 0.5".
