by:

Product wa exactly what I needed. Shipped out the same day and arrived right in time! Thank you etrailer.com!

by:

Easy to install and well built. Bigger than I needed to mount our current bike rack to our Camp Lite 11FK, but works great and it was simple.

by:

Mounted to my trailer bumper so easily that even I couldn't mess it up. This is rare!

by:

Arrived in a timely fashion. Even sturdier than I had expected. Fits my trailer bumper well. I am very satisfied with this product.

by:

video information was a big help, it eliminated guesswork on my application. fit & finish were excellent & my parts arrived on time.
I will buy from etrailer again.

by:

Used for a rear hitch on my 5th wheel to tow the jet ski trailer. Very sturdy.

by:

Works great, tow my utility trailer with polaris razor behind my travel trailer

by:

The hitch came on time. Etrailer stayed in touch with me. I am sure it will work great for pulling my flat bottom boat. Have to wait for winter to get over with.

by:

Awesome heavy duty mount. Used on the back of our food trailer to hold a cargo box. Works perfectly

by:

Wrong product - and no help from etrailer.com in rectifying the situation! I don't think anyone could use this product, and it's not clear enough in the information that it's for a tiny bumper - not a regular RV bumper.

by:

Very good quality but I had to send back as I ordered the wrong bumper size. They were very helpful with making the return easy. I was sent a shipping label.by text and sent it back. Just waiting for my refund. All items I have bought have been of good quality and not high priced. Very Happy.

by:

Just received this product, so haven't really used it yet. But wow, it is really built well. I looked at numerous similar products, and am really happy with my choice. Should give us years of great service. May be overkill for a bike rack on the back of our Takena Trailer, but will most assuredly give us peace of mind on our long road trips.

by:

Very nice specialty receiver for 2" Reese Hitch. Fits on 4" x 2" bumper stock - dimensions are spot on. Finish on surface and edges is smooth...nothing to catch or "bite" during installation!

Thank you

by:

etrailer makes ordering parts very easy - always impressed with customer service I get.

The bumper hitch is sturdy, and fit my 2" x 4" trailer bumper perfectly. it is a well built product and is very stable on the bumper.

by:

We had an interesting choice to make with our RV. We could either take the cargo carrier or the bikes. We wanted both, of course, and this hitch gave us that option.
We always check with etrailer.com first for any parts they might have to meet our travel needs.

by:

A quality bit of kit. My only problem is the burly box steel bumper on my 1990 LJ78 Land Cruiser is 2" X 4 1/8", apparently, not 2" X 4". So the nice bolts and nuts included in the package don't quite go through the holes at the top. I had to substitute thinner eye bolts. I'm pulling a very light canoe trailer with this, so I'm not worried about the loss in strength. If you have a real cross frame member for a bumper, as I do this is an inexpensive light towing solution. I would have rated it excellent if the bolt holes were somehow adjustable up and down.

by:

Bought it for a heavier hitch for my 2000 Polaris Ranger 6x6 and it worked excellent. Just one minor adjustment and it fit like a glove. etrailer is the way to go, will be buying more from them for my new to me 2009 Ford E350 ambulance that I will be using as a tow vehicle for my travel trailer.

by:

The hitch was shipped and USPS lost the hitch in Memphis. After 28 days from the first item was shipped, I finally received my hitch after multiple calls to etrailer and USPS. The hitch is great, the shipping through USPS is not.

by:

I hate to admit that the hitch has not moved one inch from where it was installed. Of course that may be entirely because the trailer it's mounted on has not either... I have no doubt it will perform perfectly when called upon to tow the the small aluminum row boat that will be attached to it. Thanks for the follow up and we'll be sure to keep you all informed of future adventures. RTC, Micheal/China Syndrome survivor.

  • Recommended Hitch Bike Rack To Carry An E-Bike On A Travel Trailer
We offer a number of bumper mounted trailer hitches. The Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # E-100, fits a 4" X 4" bumper. There is also a 4" X 2" version, part # C19101. Each of these trailer hitches have a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. We only have one hitch bike rack that is rated for a travel trailer and rated to carry e-bikes that weigh as much as your bike. The Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 5th Wheel Trailer
No, you are exactly correct. Lots of people don't check to see if their bumper is rated for the Curt RV Bumper Hitch item # C19101 to be attached to it. This definitely will not work with your 5th wheel trailer. You'll want to go with one of our universal options for your 5th wheel trailer, instead. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch item # C13702. This hitch can be bolted or welded to your trailer's frame so long as it is no longer than 51" wide. It has a 500 lbs tongue weight...

  • Availbility of Trailer Hitch for RV
The RV hitches are fairly universal so I can give you some options and you can decide based on dimensions and the style you want. For a frame mounted hitch you will need to know the frame width of your RV. The Curt # C13701 fits frames 18" to 51" wide and the # 13703 fits frames 22" to 72" wide. You could also choose to go with a bumper mount hitch. The Curt # E-100 fits a 4" x 4" bumper and the # C19101 fits a 2" x 4" bumper. You will also need to find the capacity of your RV/bumper...

  • Options For Adding A Hitch To A 2011 Forest River Viking Epic 2407ST For Carrying A Bike
Hi Chris! In cases like this, I always recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703. It fits dang near everything and has plenty of capacity for carrying an e-bike. That said, you will definitely need to measure your frame to make sure this will fit. The only other way to go is with something like the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 for a 4"x4" bumper or the # C19101 for a 4"x2" bumper. I couldn't tell if the 2011 Forest...

  • Can the Curt RV Bumper Hitch Be Used to Mount a Winch?
Hey Bruce, thanks for the pictures. I would not recommend installing the Curt RV Bumper Hitch item # C19101 on your car hauler's rails to use as a winch mount. Even when used for towing it's only got a 3,500 lbs capacity. You really run the risk of hurting yourself and/or causing some damage with as much tension is placed on those winch cables. I do not have a comparable option that will work. Instead, I recommend using the 12,000 lbs Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch item # BDW10039, that...

The Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches # S44FR is the platform bike rack I recommend that is compatible with RV and travel trailer use. It is a very nice bike rack that holds your bikes in 3 spots. It has the similar ratcheting hooks, but uses a different style wheel cradle. This rack has a fold down mast, but the rest of the frame is rigid to give the support needed for RV use. The Swagman Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack for 2" Hitches for RV Bumpers # S64663. is a bike...

  • Best Trailer Hitch Option For 2022 KZ Connect SE 241BHKSE Carrying Two E-Bikes
Hello John, thanks for reaching out. Aside from the bumper hitch, the only way to add a 2" hitch to the back of your 2022 KZ Connect SE 241BHKSE is to use a universal from mount hitch like the Curt # 13703. This is an adjustable hitch that can fit frames between 22" and 72" wide. It can be bolted on or welded on. The brackets have a bit of drop built in to help clear the bumper. I have included dimensions for you so please check and make sure this will be appropriate for your trailer. The...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for Dutchman Fourwinds with Jack Behind Bumper
The best and easiest option to install a trailer hitch on the back of a trailer is with the Curt RV Bumper Hitch part # C19101 which bolts onto a standard 4" x 4" rear bumper. The Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames part # UF35-946403 or one like it would not work in your particular application as it would need to be moved much further up therefore removing the jack you pointed out. • Trailer Hitch Options for a Casita Travel Trailer
I did some research on the Casita travel trailers and after speaking with Casita, I found that the bumper on the Casita travel trailers were not designed to support any additional weight due to its construction. They also said they do not recommend mounting a hitch or any other type of accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier on the bumper. • Recommended RV Bumper Hitch for 2021 Aliner Expedition Camper
I believe the 2021 Aliner Expedition Camper has a 2" by 4" bumper. Providing your bumper can support the attachment and weight, I highly recommend an RV Bumper Hitch, # C19101. This is a very cost effective way of adding a hitch to a small camper for attachments such as bike racks or cargo carrier, # e98874. This has a maximum tongue weight of up to a full 350 lbs. • Is It Safe to Use an RV Bumper Hitch for a Bike Rack?
Hi Erik, That’s a really good question, and you’re right to be cautious here. Even though the Curt RV bumper hitch part # C19101 is rated for up to 350 pounds of tongue weight, that rating is for the hitch itself, not the RV’s bumper. Most factory RV bumpers are not designed to handle a lot of dynamic weight, especially once you factor in bouncing and road shock while driving, which can put much more stress on the bumper than the actual weight of your bikes and rack. With your setup...

I recommend using the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide - 2" Drop - Class III - 2" Item # C13701 as it has a 500lbs weight capacity. Actually, if you were to try to install Curt hitch # C19101 it would require a lot more work than the custom fit hitches for your 2007 Saturn Vue. You would have to access the metal bumper beam which would require removal of the rear fascia. Then once you get that removed it is possible, even likely, that the hitch will not fit. Installation of a custom hitch such as # 13591 is much easier as you can see in the video I have linked showing an example installation. I have also included a...

You can certainly use the Curt Bumper Mount Trailer Hitch, # C19101, upside down. I spoke with my contact at Curt to see if there were any restrictions or further limitations by using this hitch upside down and he told me that you will have no problem using it that way. The capacities of the hitch will stay the same and you can gain more ground clearance for your cargo carrier (which can be a big deal at the back of RVs and trailers).

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Bike Rack for Viking Trailer with C-Channel Bumper
For the 2x4 inch C channel bumper on your Viking Epic Trailer, the best option for installing a trailer hitch receiver to use with a bike rack is going to be a frame-mount option like the Curt Adjustable Width # 13703.
