Today we're going to be reviewing part number TH05738, this is the Thule Replacement Quick Grip Mount Assembly. This unit is going to replace a lost or damaged mount assembly. It's going to attach the cargo box to your vehicle's roof rack crossbars. Nice, easy to use design. It's going to have tie down slots located on each side. You can run a strap through there, feed it over the cargo that you're hauling in your box and use those tie down points to secure your cargo so it doesn't move around during traveling.
The claws on the foot are going to be covered so it doesn't cause any damage to your roof rack system. This part number's going to contain one assembly that's designed to be a replacement and a fit for the Thule Force Cargo Boxes all models, the Thule Assent Cargo Box all models, and the Thule Atlantis Cargo Box all models. A few measurements to take a look at real quick. Measuring from outside edge to outside edge here of the housing, that's going to be about 6 3/4". The housing is made from a nice, durable, strong plastic construction. If we take a measurement of this spread that we have here, the maximum spread in between the points on the claws coming out of the assembly, that's only about 3 1/2", internal maximum spread that's going to be about 5 1/4".
Last measurement that we're going to take is going to measure the height from the bottom of the housing to the top of the handle, that point there, that's going to give us a measurement of about 2 5/8". That's going to do it for our review of part number TH05738. .

I recently dropped my Thule 1800 cargo carrier while getting it ready to mount on my Honda CRV roof. One of the mount assemblies broke. I went on line found etrailer and ordered another. The priice was right the shipping minimal and to my suprised I found the box with the part in app. 4 days after ordering. Nice work guys. Thanks I'm back in business and go on vacation next week. The carrier is ready to go.
Pro: This product is compatible with the Thule Ascent 1700, and worked great to replace 2 grip mounts that were damaged in an accident. Installation is quick and easy.
Con: The only issue is that the curved plastic bracket, that screws into the bottom of this mount, is not included in the purchase. This bracket fits directly onto the load bar for a solid fit. If you don't have this bracket, the installation won't be complete.
Otherwise, great replacement part for repair.

The replacement parts work great and are ready for yet another ski season!
These replacement Quick Grip Mount Assemblies were exactly what I needed for the aging Atlantis. Removal of the old grips and installation of the new ones was super easy.
Fits perfectly; great replacement
Have had my Thule Ascent carrier for 17+ years. Just needed a refresh. These are the same mountings as the original, and i expect they will last as long as the originals. Easy to use and grip strong. My Thule rides again!
The parts were almost an exact match. They are actually a better design that what was originally installed on my Thule. They fit my Thule perfectly. I'm so glad I found these here, otherwise, I would have had to throw out my old Thule. I plan on getting another 10+ years out of it. Thanks etrailer!!!

I am trying to fit this on an evolution. It's been tough trying to find details. Hopefully these fit. Appears to have the right tracks, but the other kit didn't seem to match this either

The Thule Quick Grip is unfortunately not compatible with the Evolution cargo box, its only compatible with the Ascent, Atlantis, and Force Cargo Box. If youd care to let us know the model number of the Evolution you have, Id be happy to make a recommendation for you.
