I have a Thule ascent roof box - will this kit work for this box?

Hey Scott!

The T-Track Adapter # TH27PQ will only replace the newer PowerClick Clamp # 1401467300.

Your Ascent cargo box came with the Quick Grip Mount Assembly # TH05738 so there isn't a T-Track Adapter for your box.

Are you just looking for a cleaner-looking installation with this kit?

Thank you. The rubber coating on the metal parts that clamp around the bar are falling off. I'd prefer to use the tracks to be cleaner and don't really want to buy new clamps on an old box.

@ScottW Ah, I see. I know it's not ideal, but you might consider trying to coat the claws with some kind of other rubber piece to over protection for your crossbars. It won't be the same as the old rubber pieces, but at least you won't be buying a brand new box or new clamps either.
