Crosswinds, passing trucks, and uneven pavement can tug at your steering wheel all day long. The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer uses a tempered steel spring that constantly works to keep the steering centered. When the wheel pulls one way, the spring stretches or compresses just enough to counter the motion and then returns to its normal position. The result is steadier tracking down the highway without the constant need for correction.
If a front tire blows or the rig gets shoved by a gust of wind, the Reflex doesn’t let the steering wander. The heavy-duty spring automatically pushes or pulls back to center, so you stay in line without oversteering. That quick return to neutral keeps the vehicle predictable and easier to handle when the road throws surprises your way.
Long drives get tiring when you’re fighting the wheel to stay straight. By keeping your steering centered, the Reflex stabilizer cuts out that constant correction. The steering feels firmer and more controlled, making it less exhausting to hold your line mile after mile.
This kit comes complete with the stabilizer, custom-fit mounting brackets, hardware, and instructions. It installs between the steering mechanism and chassis in about an hour—no drilling or welding required. Once mounted, it forms a tight, solid connection that immediately improves steering feel and stability.

OK we have a Jayco 2025 E350 this thing made a night and day difference on driving the class C RV. We have driven in storms and tight traffic with me exhausted afterwards but this thing is great. I don’t feel like I’m driving on a gravel road at 60 mph any more. Best money I have spent. Took about 45 min to install. Do it!!!!
Looks like a great shock , came missing 2 bushings, etrailer is sending a new one with a return lablr , great customer service
Received the package VIA UPS in 2 days. Checked contents and all parts were included. Installation took me about 1:20 min, I'm a senior, and it was only 35 Degrees out. Had to take a few warm up breaks. The new bolts for the frame bracket were the same thread size as original ones , but the heads were 17mm, the originals were 10mm , but no trouble installing them. You have to position the u-bolt bracket carefully to avoid the stabilizer from rubbing the radiator hose. I had about 1/4 space from the hose after I was finished. Took RV on a 25 mile road test, wind was blowing about 15mph. Steering was much improved. Noticed after turning a corner that the wheel did not take near as much driver input to return to center as it used to. Overall it seems to work pretty good.
Well, i received my roadmaster reflex steering stabilizer last evening, installed it this morning and took no more than an hour and test drive went perfect. Will be giving a good long drive in a month with trailer in tow also so the true test will be down the freeway, big rigs passing and winds pushing.
Fast Shipping, product as described!
The only issue is that it's not exactly the part # that fits my vehicle. This one (RBK24) is for the models that already have a factory installed steering stabilizer. The model for models with no steering stabilizer is the (RBK2). The RBK24 technically fits my vehicle, but there is no nut welded inside the frame. There are holes, but not big enough for the bolts (and not threaded).
I will probably try to insert carriage bolt inside the frame to use this part. I much prefer this one, which is bolted to the frame, whereas the RBK2 is U-bolted to the i-beam axle... Not ideal in my opinion.
I would simply suggest that the description of this product and the RBK2 cleary say that one is for models with factory installed steering stabilizer and the other one is for models with no factory installed SS. The vehicle fit tool indicates that both parts fit my vehicle (2009 Ford Van). Mine is a E-350 SuperDuty Class C V8 with single rear wheel.
Just finished the test drive and it makes our Jayco 26m on the ford 450 chasis handle way better. was easy to install and instalation took 1.25 hrs. Delivery from etrailer to Ontario Canada was quick and arrived exactly when etrailer said it would
I recently purchased a 2011 Itasca Cambria 28 with only 10,500 miles. Our first trip made it clear that I needed to stiffen the chassis. Unfortunately Roadmaster Anti-sway bars are backordered, and though you should put those on first, I just installed the Reflex Steering Stabilizer. Easy installation though you need to be careful about seating the bushings. The videos are much better than the printed instructions. Already see a big difference in how much tighter the steering is. Can't wait for the bars to arrive. Disappointed to have to wait 4 weeks.
Really helped with the wonder on the highway. Would highly recommend this for any Class C!
Just had the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer installed on my 2007 Coachman Freelander Class C motorhome (28 feet) with Ford E-450 chassis. On my first test drive what an immediate and noticeable difference! Met several semis and the improvement was evident. The motorhome is much easier to handle. I look forward to upcoming road trips. Service from etrailer was EXCELLENT!
This was part 3 of the driving/ride improvements for our 2019 Coachmen Leprechaun 319MB. etrailer verified all parts prior to me purchasing to ensure I got the correct stuff. Shipping was quick and everyone was very helpful.
All parts were in both boxes. I watched several videos prior to actually doing the installation and re-read the included instructions twice before doing the work. Included directions need to be a little clearer but with a little looking, reading and thinking I got to the right answer.
Removal of the OEM steering damper was straight forward.
Beginning installation of the new equipment was fairly easy but things got complicated when it came time to torque the ubolts and then tighten the spring. Four hands may have made it easier but not by much. Overall, it took me 1.5 hours.
Documentation could be better in describing how to torque the u-bolts and a lot better on the spring tightening section when it described "don't let the shaft turn".
After a struggle and some tinkering, I figured out how to torque the u-bolts and get the springs tightened.
Test drive was right on, centered on the road. Make sure you do the steering wheel alignment marks before you start.
Driving down the road you can feel the spring resistance to turns and its desire to bring the steering wheel back to center. I had to run over several pot holes on the ride back from NC, even when the steering wheel jumped, the stabilizer brought it back to center. Two large semis passed me going opposite directions. You could feel the lateral push, but the stabilizer made it much easier to stay in the lane without a lot of steering wheel movement. one handed driving is a lot easier now.
Good product, installation is fairly easy, but better documentation will make it a lot easier.
I had to use deep well sockets, regular sockets and ratcheting closed end combination wrenches to get the work done.
I give it a 4 for documentation and a 5 for doing what I bought it for.
If you are on the fence about installing a steering stabilizer just do it and be rid of the dangerously exhaustive driving and start enjoying your Motorhome.
I am, by nature, a very skeptical person. However, the 2018 Thor Freedom Elite 26HE I own was a dangerous thing to drive. I already installed Air bags and a heavy duty rear sway bar; the Motorhome was no longer dangerous to drive but will work you to exhaustion fighting the wind and passing trucks. I researched and inquired about how to fix this and was told to install a steering stabilizer. After installing the Roadmaster Reflex Stabilizer I took my Motorhome for a drive expecting to be disappointed and more financially broke for chasing ghost; WOW was I wrong! I didn’t just notice a minor improvement but an improvement so major that I had to share this information with everyone I know and anyone I come in contact with that has the same problem.
Part was easy to install. The video shows the worker using a rachet to install all the nuts and bolts on the same model c class motorhome. I could not get my 3/8 rachet on any of the nuts and bolts. I ended up using a wrench. No problems after the install. Camper goes straight down the road. I will be checking out how it handles on the road with trucks and the wind soon.
Buy this Steering Stabilizer! What a huge difference in the handling of my 2006 Ford E450 26.5 Lazy Daze Class C motorhome. Approximate miles driven, 5,000 with it installed this past year. No more white knuckles with driving. The improvement is so great I have put off upgrading the stock Sway-bars. You get what you pay for when it comes to the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer. Without a doubt well worth the money!
We had this installed by Camping World on our 2019 Thor 26HE. It was a handful on the interstate when a semi passed.
Now there is just a small push-pull when they pass with the steering stabilizer.
I recommend this to everyone who buys a C Class RV.

tremendous upgrade from factory steering dampener, highly recommend ed for class c rv. no more white knuckle driving. Thanks for the great products from etrailer!
I installed the stabilizer on a 2009 Pleasure Way Excel RV built on the E350 super duty chassis. Original handling of the RV was extremely poor with significant sway, oversteer and wandering that made it practically undriveable at highway speeds. Passing semis, road crown and rutting caused major problems with stability and created a true white knuckle experience.
Prior to installing the stabilizer I had installed a Roadmaster rear sway bar and Helwig front sway bar. Each was a noticeable incremental improvement, but the van was still prone to wondering with constant steering adjustments needed to stay on the road. This made for a very tiring experience. The steering stabilizer made a huge improvement. Can drive at highway speeds even with brisk cross winds and still feel stable. I had high hopes for the stabilizer but it honestly exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend the kit for folks with a similar van with similar driveability issues.
I installed the stabilizer myself on a gravel driveway and completed the install in about and hour and a half. Please note that the frame on the 2008 E350 used for my 2009 RV WERE NOT tapped. I had to tap these myself to accept the M10x1.5 mounting bolts. Check your frame before starting the project and if you are not comfortable with this type of work then please consider having a shop install for you.
I would highly recommend this product.
Installed the roadmaster stabilizer on my 2017 F450 Fleetwood Jamboree and just got back from the test drive. Got the positioning just right on the first try. This with my sumo springs have completely transformed my ride.
Excellent.

Excellent product. Driving has been greatly improved!
Steering feels slightlymore solid than without it but thought it would bring the steering back to center which it does not. Also did expect it to have more impact when being passed by large trucks. Not sure if I would recommend it.

As I said in my initial review I thought it would have more noticeable impact than it does. People who reviewed it prior to me purchasing it seem to think it made a big difference in the steering on an e450 chassis, but Im not convinced. Maybe another brand would have more noticeable impact for me or my expectations were just too high.
What a difference this made. I was on the fence about this for quite a while because of the investment needed. Now that’s it’s on my 2018 Coachman Freelander 28QB sitting on a Ford E450 my only advice is don’t wait any longer, put this on as soon as possible! It took all of that steering wheel shake out. No need to hang on with a death grip anymore. The stabilizer is very easy to put on, it took me about 1 ½ hours to complete including taking the old one off. Just follow the great video and printed instructions from etrailer and you will have no problems at all.

Its been a year and many miles since I placed this upgrade on our motorhome. Im so happy that I did! If your thinking about this, based on my experience I say do it and dont look back. I believe you will love the difference in steering.
I did the drive to find center on steering wheel which made installation easier. Removing existing steering stabilizer and brackets and installing the new wasn’t difficult at all with just basic tools. Read instructions and watch video at etrailer site. The reflex steering stabilizer is worth the money but should be the last modification done in my opinion. The first thing to install to help the swaying, leaning or just being pushed around by the semi trucks is #1 Roadmaster rear anti-sway bar if the manufacturer left the original small one on. #2 Roadmaster front anti-sway bar. Then #3 Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer. I say Roadmaster because the bushings and linkage for all of these are very heavy duty compared to the others that I compared. After doing all three of these upgrades to my 2022 E-450 33 foot class C the driving has gone from seriously gripping the steering wheel to driving relaxed with one hand in high wind or the passing of big rigs and ruff dipping road surfaces. I did this upgrades one at a time in the order I’ve indicated so I actually got to feel how each item help to control my motorhome. I am very pleased with all. Thanks etrailer for the excellent service.

After a year I am still very pleased with the RoadMaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer. And I still recommend the rear and front RoadMaster Anti-Sway bars.
Makes driving my motorhome a pleasure. Its an absolute night and day difference.
It does do a good job. The only possible change that I would like to see is to the attachment at the tie rod end. It can be a challenge to torque the u bolts to spec.
Thanks
If you have a Ford E350 or E450, but this. Your future RVing self will thank you. East to install and a real game changer when it comes to driving. It takes attention to detail to get it centered but it is not difficult to get it done. No more wandering from lane to lane and no white knuckles when driving in the wind or meeting wind jamming semi truck.
The Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer has made a huge improvement in how our 22 E 450 coach drives. We live in South Central Kansas and wind is often a big problem . The Relex has been a great investment .
Quality built steering stabilzer. Well packaged and arrived within my expected time frame.
