Recommended Front Sway Bar and Steering Stabilizer for 2025 Winnebago Spirit 31K

Updated 12/09/2025 | Published 11/14/2025

Question:

2025 Winnebago 31K class C on a Ford E-450 chassis Towing a 2025 GMC Canyon AT4 with a Blue Ox Avail and an RVI Shadow 2. Looking for recommendations for a beefier steering stabilizer and front sway bar than what comes from the factory. Not getting much side to side sway but steering feels “loose” and it likes to wander with the slightest movement of the steering wheel. The wandering is with or without towing. Not getting any front to back porpoising.

Hey Gaylan! For the front sway bar I recommend the Hellwig Front Anti-Sway Bar - 1-3/8" Diameter # HE26GR. Then for the steering stabilizer the Roadmaster Reflex RV Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK24-RSSC. The combination of the two will put a stop to that wandering so you will have a much better experience with your Winnebago.

How are you liking the Shadow 2? We just started carrying that recently and I've heard a lot of good things.

Hey Gaylan, how did things turn out after adding the Hellwig front sway bar and the Roadmaster steering stabilizer to your Winnebago? Did they help tighten up the steering feel on your E-450 chassis? Your feedback could really help others working on similar setups.
