  • General-purpose, medium-strength, waxy threadlocker keeps nuts and bolts securely tightened
  • Waxy formula avoids mess
    • Won't leak in toolboxes or pockets
    • Doesn't drip when used overhead
  • Treated threads resist corrosion
  • Assembled parts can be taken apart easily with hand tools
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Application: 1/4" to 3/4" (6-mm to 20-mm) nuts and bolts
  • Quantity: 0.32-oz stick (9 g)
  • Fixture cure (time required to become tacky): 10 minutes
  • Full cure (time required to reach full set): 24 hours
  • Temperature range (endurance limits of threadlocker): -65 F to 300 F

Applications: Valve cover, water pump, oil pan and drive shaft bolts, rocker arm adjustment nuts and carburetor studs

This diagram illustrates the use of this threadlocker:

diagram of threadlocker in use

Threadlocker is applied as a paste to the threads of screws, nuts and bolts before assembly to keep them securely tightened, even when vibration occurs. Threadlocker also seals out air, water and grime to prevent rust or other corrosion from forming. Nuts and bolts that aren't corroded last longer and can be taken apart more easily. Standard hand tools can break the seal of the threadlocker, allowing you to remove treated nuts and bolts, which then can be reused.

This threadlocker is anaerobic (hardens in the absence of air) and requires contact with an active metal to cure. Active metals (those that tarnish, corrode or rust) include brass, copper, bronze, iron, soft steel and nickel. If both parts to be joined are made of inactive materials, Loctite Klean 'N Prime primer must be applied to one of the surfaces for curing to occur. Inactive materials include plated parts, stainless steel, galvanized steel, magnetite steel, pure aluminum, titanium, magnesium, gold, silver, plastic, cadmium, Iconel, zinc, natural or chemical black oxide and anodized aluminum.

Klean 'N Prime can speed the cure rate of Threadlocker Blue Stick. This is especially helpful when you are applying the adhesive to any material, active or inactive, in colder temperatures (below 70 F).

Just what I was looking for at a great price.

by:

great! I have a set of these and ran out of the blue. Couldn't find it locally except in the size that holds only half as much. I was happy to find it here on etrailer. Great job etrailer.

I will never go back to liquid threadlockers. This should be the industry standard. No mess, no waste, much more control, no spilling, and countless more benefits. I use it for small screws, so it makes it much easier to apply a more reasonable amount so I don't end up stripping the torx heads when I remove them from having to put too much torque on it to remove them. My only complaint about this product is that I didn't find it sooner!

As I said in my previous review, I use this product on small screws, so I only use a little at a time. For that reason, I dont go through it very quickly, and after a year or seems to have maintained the vast majority, if not the entirety, of its effectiveness.

by:

Excellent delivery time. Product is as described and installation was just like everyone said.

Great website, great prices, and appreciate the fast shipping. Thank you very much

  • Loose Fulton Magnum Series Swivel Trailer Jack on 2002 Ranger Boat Trailer
Your best bet is going to be hardware kit # F0933325S00. The bolt is a 1/2 inch coarse threaded bolt with matching nut and bushing. But it sounds like the nut or bolt is backing out on your assembly. This could mean the lock washer is shot. You could obtain one locally or use some blue Loctite # LT37643 to prevent it from backing out. Do you notice any damage to the assembly? Or is the hole where the bolt goes through starting to get egg-shaped or otherwise misshapen? If so then that would...

  • Thread Hitch Bolt Coming Loose on Kuat Transfer Bike Rack
Are you using both the flat washer and the lock washer with the hitch bolt on the Kuat Transfer TS03G? The lock washer would prevent the bolt from backing out. That is unless the threads on either the bolt or the nut in the rack shank are damaged. Also, make sure you are inserting the bolt from the right (passenger's) side. If you put it in the other way there won't be enough threads to thread into the nut. I have not heard of this problem on the Kuat Transfer. You could use BLUE Loctite...

  • Can Nylon Lock Nuts or Blue Loctite be Used for Axle U-Bolts to Keep Them Secured
Hey Johnny, thanks for reaching out! If the nuts securing the U-Bolts around your axle keep coming loose then it would be a good idea to use ones that have the lock nuts or putting some Blue Loctite # LT37643 on it to keep them secured. What could be going on is either the U-Bolts are worn out, you're going over fairly rough terrain, or you're potentially overloading the axle. I recommend checking into those things as well.

  • Replacement Tailgate Top Seal for Pace Edwards Retractable Tonneau Covers
In order to install the Replacement Tailgate Top Seal for Pace Edwards Retractable Tonneau Covers # PE99CV you will need to start with the tonneau cover completely open. You'll then remove the tonneau railing caps or stop blocks, remove the 2 hex screws at the tailgate of the tonneau rails and remove the rear clamps. You'll then want to lift the end of the rail up to remove an inner screw that will reveal itself (one on each side) and need to be removed with a phillips head screwdriver....

  • Conical Tooth Washer Placement for Trailer Hitch Installation on a 2010 Toyota Yaris
The washers that are included with trailer hitch # 24819, are conical tooth washers similar to # 01292006-020-01. You are correct, they are sort of bowl shaped. The tooth end goes towards the hitch. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the hitch. Using a thread locker like Loc-Tite, # LT37643, can be done but it is not necessary. The conical tooth washer prevents the bolt from backing out.

  • Replacement Mounting Hardware for Thule Hull-a-Port Kayak Carrier
I understand your concern about your Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier # TH834 coming loose from your vehicle roof rack crossbars but I cannot recommend using any alternate hardware (such as that from another Thule carrier). What I suggest you do is apply a thread lock compound like Loctite # LT37643 to the hardware's threads. This should prevent the knobs from coming loose on their own but still allow you to remove the carrier if you wish. If you still have an issue then I suggest using...

You can find all sorts of different torque specs for the same size bolts or nuts and they will all be around these same figures. If you use Loctite use the blue kind, such as # LT37643, which will allow you to remove parts using hand tools. The red kind is going to be too strong. Also make sure the Loctite only goes on the threads and on any part that...

  • Is Loctite Suggested When Installing Trailer Hitch Receiver
When installing a trailer hitch receiver like # 75081 we do not suggest using Loctite on the bolts and nuts because the manufacturer doesn't. It isn't a bad idea in most cases to use # LT37643 because it will keep the hardware tight. The only situation where I wouldn't recommend it is when you have weld nuts in the frame, which isn't an issue with this hitch.

  • Using Anti-Seize Compound on Trailer Hitch Mounting Bolts
Using anti-seize compound on the hitch mounting bolts is not necessary. Because of the lubricant properties, you'd need to lower the torque specs in order to not over tighten the bolts. You would be better off installing the bolts dry and tightening them to the torque rating mentioned in the hitch installation instructions. Using something like a Loctite Blue Threadlocker, part # LT37643 would be a better idea. The waxy texture makes threading bolts in place easier, but gets tacky as it...
