Bring Your Boards to the Water, Without Load Straps

Stand-Up Paddle Board Carrier

LockRack's surfboard carrier has a simple design that works with the shape of your boards to firmly them it in the carrier. With most surfboard carriers, tying down your boards can be a hassle because of shifting side straps. LockRack's design simplifies that process with its padded ratcheting arms. The arms close in tight on the tapered ends of your boards, securing it on your crossbars without the need for load straps.

This carrier provides a secure rooftop transportation system for your boars to and from the water. Once your surfboards are loaded, push the arms in until they click into place, securing your boards to your vehicle.

Ratchet Arms

When your LockRack is not in use, you don't need to uninstall the carrier from your roof. Just remove the arms, rotate them 90 degrees, then reinsert them so that they lay parallel with the roof of your vehicle. This will reduce wind noise and give you more clearance when parking in your garage.

Built-In Security
Ratchet Arms

LockRack carriers have security built-in with locks in the base of the carrier, securing the ratcheting arms. Once you've locked your boards or boat in the carrier by pushing the arms tight against your watercraft, the arms will stay locked until you remove them with a key. br>
Replacement Key Number

This carrier comes with 4 identical keys. Once the arms are locked in place, insert a key into the locking mechanism in the carrier base. Rotate the key to unlock and release the ratcheting arms. If you ever need a replacement key (sold separately) you'll need to know your original key number. This number is not located anywhere on the carrier so be sure to make note of the numbers printed on the inside of the original set of keys.

I appreciate the follow up. We use the Lockrack to transport 2 short thruster boards on our Can-Am Maverick X3. Hands down is the best, coolest looking snd most practical surf rack we've ever had.

Replacement Keys For Lockrack Surfboard Rack LR59FR
Hello John, we can definitely get you some replacement keys for your Lockrack Surfboard Rack # LR59FR. Unfortunately the plastic cover piece is not something that is available separately. As far as the keys this rack can come with several possible keys. You still have two of the keys right? Roof Rack and Board Carrier Recommendation for 2016 Toyota Prius V with Glass Roof
For your 2016 Toyota Prius V you will need to install a roof rack to carry the boards you mentioned. Unfortunately only Yakima makes roof racks for your vehicle and they aren't exactly super cheap. So for that you would want the Yakima CoreBar part numbers # Y00425, # Y28TR, # Y06117, # Y06174. Which with that you'd be able to use the LockRack kpart # LR59FR that you referenced. This will attach to the crossbar by the top channel.

Are Replacement Rubber Pads Covered Under Warranty for LockRack Carriers?
Hey Natalia, Sorry to hear about your LockRack Carrier # LR59FR losing some rubber pieces! To replace the rubber pieces you'll need the LockRack Replacement Rubber for 15-7/8" Base # LR78FR - 1 for each base. The warranty will only cover defects in the system and unfortunately won't cover lost or stolen parts. It must have been a pretty crazy storm! I've messed with these before and the rubber strips sit in there pretty snug!

Hey AC, thanks for reaching out - I LOVE the Yakima OverHaul HD # Y01151-57! The only downside to this ladder rack is the width of the crossbars, but this is a typical problem for any ladder rack on the market. If you just want some padding, then you'll need to come up with a custom option for yourself like pool noodles or something like that. It won't be glamorous, but it will get the job done. Could you set two boards on top of them side by side and have most of the boards sitting on the crossbars or not? We do! The 13-3/4" Wide Lockrack Surfboard Rack is available both with channel mounts or with clamping style mounts like you mentioned needing: - Clamp Style Mounts # LR97VR - Channel Mounts # LR59FR I really like this style of carrier as well since it makes loading and unloading your gear much faster than managing a strap system. What Lockrack Carrier Can Carry 2 Surfboards?
Both the Lockrack Surfboard # LR59FR and SUP Rack # LR47FR are only capable of carrying a single surfboard. We do have the Rack # LR67VR from Lockrack which can carry 2 small surfboards. If you have large boards you will want to consider looking at the Inno Locker Watersport Roof Rack # INA446.

Hello again, John! Happy you liked the StealthBar # JA8938 and the answer to your question is, you can absolutely use the channel mounted Lockrack Surfboard Rack # LR59FR. The base of the Lockrack # LR59FR is a mere 13-3/4 inches long, while the StealthBar # JA8938 crossbars have a top channel and measure more than 35 inches long, so there's plenty of room for the carrier.

Can I Mount the LockRack Surfboard Carrier LR59FR on the Wall?
While it's not intended to be used that way. I'm sure if you can get the LockRack Surfboard Carrier item # LR59FR attached to your wall it would work. You could probably put a screw through the holes where the T-nuts go. Another option would be to use the Malone SUP Storage Rack item # MPG384 and wrap the etrailer Cable Lock item # e98891 around your boards.

Looking For Surfboard Carrier That Fits Prinsu 100 Series Roof Rack For Toyota Landcruiser
Hello Charles. It looks like the Prinsu rack uses a 2" wide by 1" tall crossbar, so you can use a surfboard carrier that clamps to the crossbars, just like a standard roof rack. For that I recommend the LockRack Surfboard Carrier # LR97VR. This comes with universal clamps that can attach directly to the crossbars on your Prinsu rack. The LockRack carriers are great because they are easy to load and you do not have to deal with any straps.
