Video Transcript for Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs: The Breakdown

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a real quick look at these Lift Spacers for your Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs. These spacers are going to allow your air springs to be installed on vehicles with a one and a quarter inch lift, and from six and a half inches to seven and a half inches between your upper and lower brackets. And this spacer must be the same size as your lift kit rise. Now, these spacers attach between the bottom of the lower bracket, and the bottom of the spring on vehicles, again, with that one and a quarter inch lift. And these are going to fit Ride-Rite model F2286, if manufactured after February 1st of 2006.

However, these will not fit Ride-Rite models F2350, or F2286. Now, this includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to get these two lift spacers, the necessary bolts. And then a sheet with a diagram here, giving you an overview of the installation process. That's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

Worked perfect

by:

Worked as described I had an add a leaf on my tundra that gave me about 1.5-1.75" lift. Bolted right up, only reason it's not 5 stars is there was one bolt missing.

by:

Works well. I have 1.5" spacer blocks for my leaf springs. This allowed me to use the Firestone Air Bags.

Still love it, works great, no issues. Definitely makes a difference with heavy loads, ride is much smoother.

Perfect fit for my 2006 Toyota Tundra 4x4 with a 6” lift. My truck has add-a-leaf load helpers in the rear so the spacers were needed for firestone airbags. Good product, easy installation.

  • Will Firestone F2582 Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Change Ride Height of 2019 Ford F-150
At the 5psi minimum recommended by Firestone, installing their # F2582 Ride-Rite kit will not change your existing ride height, as long as your suspension isn't worn and is in good working order. If the suspension is worn, it could slightly raise the ride height. Also, you might need a lift spacer depending on how much lift has been added. If the lift is less than 1-1/2 inches, you won't need a lift spacer, according to Firestone. If the lift is greater than 1-1/2 inches, you will need...

  • Can 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Lift Install Firestone Air Bag Kit
Hey Fili, so we do have solutions for air bag kits on trucks that are lifted like yours but it comes down to knowing by how much the vehicle was lifted to pick out the correct spacer. So what is your best solution is to go with a Firestone air bag kit like the part # F2250 and then measure the distance between the Firestone brackets once they are installed. Bracket Spacing (in.) 6.5 to 7.5-inches use spacer # F2536 7.5 to 8.5-inches use spacer # F2366 8.5 to 9.5-inches use spacer #...

  • What Firestone Air Bags do I Need for My 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter, What Spacers for Stock Lift
Hello Jared, Sounds like you’ve got a great setup with your 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter and the Go Fast Camper. That camper weight, around 330 pounds, is definitely enough to cause about an inch of sag in the back, so it makes perfect sense that you’d want to level things out. You’re absolutely on the right track looking into the Firestone Ride-Rite air bags. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F83VV are the correct fit for your Trailhunter. Even though...

  • Will Firestone Air Bags Fit 2018 Toyota Tacoma With 1" Rear Lift Without Spacers
Hey Jeff! More than likely the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs will fit without spacers. However, I recommend measuring to be sure. With your truck sitting level, measure the distance between where the upper and lower brackets mount on your truck as seen in the picture below. If you have a 6-1/2" - 7-1/2" measurement between brackets you will need the # F2536 (1-1/4" spacer) Do you have the 2WD or 4WD model? If it is 2WD and your axle is located above the leaf spring pack you need...

  • Best Suspension Enhancement Option For 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter
Hello Tim, thanks for reaching out. The best option for this will be an air bag kit, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F83VV. This will allow you to get the support you need to keep your truck level when you are loaded down. Then you can reduce the PSI when unloaded to keep the factory ride from getting too rough. If your Trailhunter is lifted, the air bags can still be compatible, but you may need a spacer to compensate for the lift. Based on the specs I found online, the...

  • Will Firestone Air Bags Require Spacers on 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 With 1" Rear Blocks
Hey Brian! Blocks typically don't increase the distance between the axle and frame so you probably don't need a spacer to install the # F2709. If you want to double check you can measure the distance between where the upper and lower brackets will be on your 2019 Silverado 2500. If it is under 6-1/2" you don't need a spacer. If you have 6-1/2" to 7-1/2" between the brackets you can use the # F2536 you were looking at. Are you planning to add an air compressor as well? If you do, make...

Hey Lee, For a 2006 Toyota Tundra you would need the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2245 that you were already looking at. These springs are compatible with TRD and non-TRD models so you won't have an issue there. They do install in the same place as the brackets would for an in-bed hitch so you wouldn't be stuck with bumper pull trailers. • Do I Need a Spacer for a 2024 Chevy Silverado 2500 w/ a 1" Rear Lift?
No, it won't. The Firestone Ride-Rite Axle Spacer Bracket for Lifted Vehicles item # F5557 only works with one air bag kit and it is the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2400. Yours does not have an equivalent part. A spacer kit shouldn't be needed for your 2024 Silverado 2500 when using the Firestone item # F2709 because you only have 1" of lift. Firestone doesn't even make a 1" spacer. If you think there's too much space, you can always add the 1-1/2 inch Lift Spacers...

Thank you for the pictures you sent to help verify the 6401 air bag used in your old # F2400 kit. Unfortunately the compatible kits for your 2020 Ford F-250 Super duty use the 8397 and 6397 air bags so you won't be able to just swap out the brackets to reuse them on the newer truck. I wish I knew exactly what air bag spacer you needed to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2582 on your 2015 Ford F-150 with the Rough Country 3" Lift Kit but sadly I do not as there are just too many variances in lift kits. Hey Mike, Air lift doesn't have a compatible fit for your AT4X model but Firestone does have a compatible option with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2613. A 2" lift doesn't always equate to a 2" gap being added between the mounting brackets so the best way to determine the spacer you'll need to is to install the upper and lower mounting brackets for the spring and then measure the space between them. A 4" lift doesn't always mean that you'll have a 4" gap so you'll need to first install the upper and lower brackets and then measure the distance between them.
