The tutorial you guys produced made the process super easy.
Make sure to unplug ALL the wires first - I did not and had a pucker moment when removing the bumper. I’d recommend a good breaker bar on the 21mm bolts at first, after that an impact does the trick. The bolts have thread locker and do put up a fight coming out. Took about 3.5 hours for me, but I like taking breaks. This unit is almost twice the weight of the placeholder and joke of a receiver that comes on these 2024 Canyons without the optioned tow package. No doubts it is rated for 8000 pounds. For ~$250 on sale I am very pleased!

1 year later and this receiver is doing just fine, with some very minor nitpicks. My self install has been solid - no movement of any bolts, even after attempting a sand recovery of a half ton truck with my tiny Canyon. Everything is still rock solid. My one complaint - the finish on this receiver has started to flake off around the hitch mount’s outer edge and visibly rust. Some black high temp spray paint fixed it easily enough, but with the less than handful of times I’ve actually used the receiver, I’m surprised it started so soon. Still happy with my purchase a year later!
The hitch is well built and fit like a glove. I’m a 73 yr old farm boy and I installed this myself….no hoist, no pit, not much for special tools. It’s a little tricky getting the 4 factory bolts off (I probably should have heated them), but managed all the same. The electrical connections can be brittle, so watch that and maybe label for reinstall. The hitch matched the holes perfectly and will last longer than the truck.
My second hitch receiver from e trailer. My other car has one and it was perfect fit as well. 2024 Colorado. I had to remove the stock one and put in the E trailer hitch crossmember. I watched the video a couple of times. I actually like the video on the 2024 Canyon better. Both great videos. It took me about 2.5 hours. I was by myself so it took a little effort. But not bad at all. I didn’t even get mad or yell. Except for how tight the original bolts were. Make sure you have the tools you need before starting. I definitely needed the break over bar. They are 21mm bolts. Cleaned the holes after removal much easier going back in. The two bumper nuts are 15mm.
The wires on the vehicle have some tricky disconnects but the video helps with that. All in all very easy swap out. It looks great too.
Replaced the plastic fake cap on the bumper with the new 7 pin 4 pin connector from
e trailer.

Excellent fit, not too difficult to install, great videos to make installation clear. A great product all the way around, doing it yourself can save hundreds, and the product is extremely solid.
Not my first purchase through them. Quality, heavy duty equipment that fits like a glove at a price you can't argue with. My truck required the bumper to be removed for install but the process was simple.

The Curt hitch is awesome, however your shipping SUCKS! I called your shipping department and requested that they package and secure my order being shipped from Utah to California Please see enclosed photos of how you shipped my hitch. The hitch was scrapped to raw metal in areas .
Shipping was great, info on installation was great, the issues i had was big deep scratches down to the metal in product. The part of the reciever that mounts to tge frame was bent and didnt allow me to get bolts in correctly, but it was easilt fixed with a couple hit with a mallet and 2x4 to get it to line up correctly. Other than those thing happy overall with everything!
The trailer came in a timely manner and the video instructions made it so much easier to assemble! Honestly very happy with the quality that this product came in! Can’t wait to use it.

I purchased this hitch for my 2024 Chevy Colorado Z71. It is a quality product and was fairly easy to install. The hardest part was getting the original factory installed hardware off. I strongly suggest watching the etrailer video as it is pretty spot on.
Order arrived quickly. Install went smoothly especially with the help of the videos.

Hitch seems to be well built, shipping is awsome fast, my only problem is it looks like it was dragged behind the ups truck all the way to my door step.
Hitch is well made and sturdy.
One issue that made it harder to install is that the bumper flange was bent in shipping. Box had about 4 holes tore into it with flange sticking out one end.
Do not torque the hitch down before dry fitting the bumper to see if your holes line up!! I was off about 1/4" on the bumper frame holes on one side. I had measured hitch against frame and torqued as in video. Then had to loosen and tweak hitch to line up to body and holes.
Product looks great but the packaging was horrible. A quarter of the hitch was out of the box. Not sure if the damage was caused by UPS or not but the cardboard for such a heavy object was not thick enough. More and stronger tape would have helped. Thankfully, no damage was evident.

Just need to find a better way to package when shipping, box was very damaged, luckily nothing wrong with the hitch receiver
Hitch and connector received in good condition alough as others have mentioned the box that it was shipped in was not in such good condition. As far as the installation, the videos were spot on HOWEVER,DIYers, taking off the main bolts on the bumper, BEWARE , they are on extremely tight so I stress a breaker bar and or a powerful impact wrench is advised.
Certainly is solid and pretty heavy for a Class III. I’m a 75 yo hardheaded gear head and after 6 hours, 3 tries and a little help from my 73 yo wife, we got the #*@# thing installed and torqued too, lol. Can’t see why it won’t perform admirably. Thanks.

Ordering was easy, delivery was timely. As others have mentioned the box looked like it was dragged behind he UPS truck. The receiver was in perfect condition, not a scratch or paint chip. The craftsmanship of the receiver is excellent, bolt holes were exact and the finish is so well done I almost feel like I should add it to my wash and wax regimen.
The installation video was spot on, not a detail overlooked. If you do not have an impact gun either purchase one before beginning installation or have someone else perform the installation. While most of us do not have the luxury of having a lift the shipping box made good ground cover to lay on once you remove the 50 staples from the box. I'm uncertain why Chevy would have provisions for a ball mount and not just have a box receiver as standard equipment. Once removing the bolts from the ball mount support I found the most difficult part was separating the electrical connections. I actually just quickly constructed supports and slid the bumper out several inches to remove the old bracket and install the new receiver. There was enough slack in the electrical to achieve this. Installation of the receiver went very quickly after this.
Excellent product, great installation video, allow yourself a few hours. It is well worth it.
I laughed when I saw the package. I had seen other customers say that it looked like UPS had pull their package behind the trucks. My hitch was out of the package. No harm, the hitch is going to ride under my truck for it's life. The UPS driver had the hitch come out of the box and hit him in the arm. Your packaging needs to improve or I suspect that UPS will discontinue shipping for you. Cheers
