Question:
I have a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado LT I want to install a trailer hitch to it. I am looking at the model number for a Turk C 78VV. Currently, the truck did not come from the factory with a trailer hitch. Looking under the bumper, I could see a wiring harness plugged into a blank cover so I will also need trailer package connector. The one I am looking at and would like to get the model number is C42Jr. I would like to qualify if these part numbers would fit my truck. In addition the trailer connector shows availability sometime in December. I’d like to qualify if that is accurate as well.. Thank you, Bob

Hey Bob.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C78VV you mentioned is a confirmed fit for your 2024 Chevrolet Colorado LT. Luckily, this hitch bolts to existing mounting holes in your frame so you shouldn't have to break your back getting it on. You will have to lower the spare and remove the bumper, but this is standard. These are currently in stock.
Now, the Curt Replacement OEM USCAR Trailer Connector # C42JR plugs directly into the factory USCAR connector you found under your truck. This will give you a 4-way and a 7-way without having to cut or splice any wires. This part I'm seeing the same thing you are with the December availability. If you want something sooner, the closest alternative I have is # C55774. This plugs into your factory USCAR connector just like the other one however, this will need to be mounted near your hitch or bumper instead of being a plug and play like # C42JR.
What do you plan on towing when this is all installed?
