The hitch was relatively easy to install, I didn’t even have to jack up my Tacoma to install the receiver. Great company to deal with and a solid piece of equipment. Thank you.

It rusted out and fell off and ruined my bumper. I’m just kidding. It still very solid and tight. I actually purchased another one because I bought a 2025 Tacoma and the other one would not fit on my new truck. I honestly don’t use it a lot. Just a little plowing. But I do love it. Thank you very much. Tom

by:

The plow has worked as advertised. It is exactly what I needed. In today's world it is difficult to find value in any product. The plow was well worth the money. Last winter, up here in Maine, we had a fair amount of snow. I probably saved $500 by plowing my own driveway and my neighbor paid me $350 to plow her driveway. The plow will easily pay for itself. I'd like to get a second strap and 4/5 pins that hold the strap in place. Would you let me know how to order them through you or are they things I need to find elsewhere?

Thanks,
David

I am happy to hear that the plow # K2AVAL8219 worked out well for you and your neighbor David! We do have the replacement strap # K2WS8020, the strap will come with an extra pin. I do not see that the pins are sold separately, only with the strap. I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season filled with your favorite people =)

Easy installation. No mods required on my TRD Tacoma. Monte’s a winch cradle and 11000 lb winch with it. It’s removable and looks awesome too! Very happy!

2023 Toyota Tacoma

This is the second front receiver hitch I have gotten from etrailer. Like the first one, this one fits perfectly and only took about 35 minutes to install. No complaints, it does what it is supposed to do! Installed on a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off-Road.

Easy to install. The fishing wires are brilliant. Made getting the bolts in place very easy. It actually makes the front of the truck look smarter.

2019 Toyota Tacoma

Installed a Curt 31075 Front Hitch on a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. Took about 2 hours since the skid plate needed to be removed and cut. I'm a little concerned about how deep under the bumper the receiver pin is. My purpose for installing is to use my SnowSport Plow. The interceptor for the plow is going to be close to the front license plate. The Pro right side hook had to be removed permanently but I did invert it and reinstall it just to fill the bolt holes it came from. 2 inches from the front of the Pro skid plate needed to be cut off. I split a commercial grade garden hose and covered the sharp cut edge. A receiver hitch plug was cut and inserted in the back (in photos). Thanks Curt, etrailer, Carol and Conner from etrailer.com. Hope the pictures help someone considering a front hitch on their TRD pro.

The Curt front hitch receiver works great. No issues with the Snowsport Plow contacting the front license plate. Ive adapted the front receiver with a hook and pulley. I use this hook and pulley to pull out stick lawn mowers and when magnet grapnel fishing from roadway bridges.

2020 Toyota Tacoma

Perfect fit. Easy install on 2020 Tacoma. Air dam was already removed. Retain two air dam screws for the splash guards to screw in so they don’t rattle. Access ports are a bit tight, but a M12 power ratchet with a 3/4 socket gets them spinning and the back plate grabs eventually. The fish wires are a special treat, I usually use string.

@LazerS I will be using th front hitch for tow points, a single recovery point without having the hanging shackle points typically seen. Also, a front bike rack to keep bikes away from the tailgate while camping. One can also mount a winch, but I am not a serious off-roader.

2019 Toyota Tacoma

Dealing with etrailer.com was definitely easy. They very much so appreciate any and all business. Shipping was pretty quick and they kept me informed on my order status all the way through as well with follow up to make sure everything was satisfactory. I have a 2019 TRD Pro Tacoma, I opted to just replace my skid plate with a lighter one given the slight addition weight of the hitch. On top of the fact I didn’t want to have to cut such a pricey factory part. Everything installed easily and while I’ve never had much reason to use fish wires I can tell you in this situation it’s a lifesaver. If I recall some people had issues fitting a ratchet to the top nuts. I used my stubby bolt through ratchet set and worked pretty flawlessly. Got to say over all I have zero complaints, some people mentioned the loss of ground clearance and/or approach angle but it’s really not that intrusive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to make their Tacoma a little more versatile. My main objective was to be able to use my Surf Mate hitch rod/cooler set up without it getting in the way of the tailgate. Everything works great!

2017 Toyota Tacoma

Installing the Curt front hitch on a 2017 Tacoma. To gain full access to use a torque wrench I took off the air-dam, grille, and the front bumper cover. Be careful with removing the bumper cover from the wheel wells. The snap tabs can break before they pull out. With full access I could snap the torque wrench to the specified number. I had to trim the air dam a few times and it fits around the hitch. I like the way the Curt hitch does not affect garage door clearance and does not affect approach angle.

The Curt front hitch look really good on my Toyota, tacoma truck. I took it into the dealer to have them install it and then a short time I had my truck back..

by:

Well engineered product. Less than 30 min to install on my 2022 TRD Off-road.
No trimming at all on TRD Off Road model.
It looks a little utilitarian up close, but not so much from a distance. My cycle jack worked perfectly for this task. BTW.. The fish wires are a stroke of genius.

I installed this to accommodate the adapter for my 20 year old SnowBear plow. I only plowed twice during the winter of 22-23, but the setup worked perfectly. I am also able to attach my 8000lb winch for temporary use. I didnt mention in my original review that the single, right side factory tow hook had to be removed. On the 2022 TRD Off Road the front approach angle will be affected by a few degrees since the hitch hangs below the skid plate.

2020 Ram ProMaster 3500

I installed a rear hitch from e trailer and later ordered a front hitch so I could use my home made snow plow from either end of the truck. Some installation tipsI had to use to complete the installation, I could not get the nut on the bolt my hand would go into the hole so I mounted a screw onto a stick hung the bolt on the screw and turned the bolt with a screw driver. I also had to hold the bolt with a pair of needle noise vice grips. I was able to open the hood and gain access to the bolts to tighten them with a 3/8 drive ratchet with a piece of 3/4 inch EMT conduit to extend the handle with a deep socket. The 12 inch high box with the 3/4 inch sticks on top of the box held the hitch in place and made it a one person job. I showed the rest or the air dam I cut out. I am very happy with both Curt hitches thank you e trailer.

Hitch has been great especially for a front rack while over landing and towing my off road trailer. Once i was on a fire road and couldn’t go forward any further. I dis connected, front hitched my trailer and drove it back down about 12 mile before I could turn around. Invaluable at that moment. It’s been very useful on my trips.

Review: 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD OffRoad

Installation
Notes:
I have a brand new 2020 Tacoma TRD OffRoad... I purchased this front hitch, Curt #C31075 from eTrailer.com, it arrived on 3/11/2020. I just installed it on 3/12/2020... About a 45 minute job, only myself needed for the install. This front receiver fits perfect! I dont have the airdam/spoiler, AKA: chinstrap... Not an issue. I dont have a TRDPro, so didnt need to trim the TRDPro skidplate per Curts instructions. Skidplate stayed on whole time during installation... Bit tricky top bolts, but fishwires are perfect... Need long screwdriver or rod to reach in and hold head of top bolts steady when starting to tread them. Even with extension or crows feet on torque wrench, hard to know how much to get to [torque rating specified in instructions] for top 1/2inch bolts. Extensions alter the torque reading and make wrench inaccurate. Put a longer bar on end of wrench to get greater torque.

This DOES CONFIRM to fit a 2020 as the instructions from Curt do list the year as: 2016-Present.

Not quite rated as high as DrawTite, but so much better looking! Still has same 9,000 lb line pull.

Please see photos.
Thanx!!!

We purchased your Curt front hitch mount for our 2018 Tacoma. The process was easy, instructions and photos allowed us to be confident the assembly would fit, work as intended, and be reasonable to install ourselves. The shipment arrived four days earlier than estimated. Etrailer contacted us on receipt of the order, at shipment, during transit to offer support if needed, and to confirm delivery.

Installation was straightforward, fitment is perfect. The wire tools for locating the bolts & flanges worked perfectly, a very cool tool.

We will use the hitch with a smaller boat / trailer that cannot be seen from the truck cab when reversing.

Over the years we have purchased several times from etrailer, always a good experience.

Perfectly. The front hitch gets noticed, especially when we launch or pull. We get a lot of questions about it. Recently we needed to winch our creek bridge 100 feet after a flood. In a tight spot we mounted the hitch tray up front and finished the job nicely.

Great hitch, easy install, fast delivery, and well priced. I installed this in 20-30 minutes by myself. Works well to install a rack on the front or to add a better tow point.

Yes, we are extremely happy with this addition to our truck. I'm definitely not a mechanic, but had no problem mounting it myself. And it looks good, and has had no effect on my mpg efficiency. I've used it to push a full utility trailer into tricky unloading areas. Also, I've pushed our camper trailer into tight spots that I couldn't have backed into. I've also carried a bike rack up front, as well as a support for our 2 long sea kayaks. If you are considering this purchase, I would offer my opinion of TWO THUMBS UP.

Super impressed with etrailer's responsiveness. Ordered on a Thursday, item arrived on Saturday (2 days earlier than promised--I did not pay extra for fast shipping). The hitch receiver was reasonably easy to install (I am semi-handy, but still learning. Parts of the instructions are confusing in that they refer to the same bolts with a couple of different names, but once I figured out that M12 and 12mm were the same thing and that they referred to the bolt diameter, not the head diameter, I was set). Needed help from my son to bolt it to the truck (it's heavy, would be hard to do on your own), but otherwise, did it by myself. Very happy I'll be able to carry my bike on the front of my truck when hauling my camper.
