As easy as 1- 2- 3 to install the #e97KR just like a glove to the hand +
delivery time and material are excellent

Beautiful work. Welds are uniform, product is perfectly aligned with my vehicle and the finish coat is much better than I've seen on other company's products.....The service, although it started out a bit slow to respond, got right after it with phone call and follow up correspondence. Highly recommended.

Never disappointed buying from etrailer

by:

Both parts came together in one very sturdy large box, and exactly on the day that was promised.
My neighbor kindly installed the hitch onto my car. He said it was not difficult at all.
I was especially pleased with the ease of ordering. It means so much when the company representative is so very knowledgeable, as was the case!
Thanks so much!
--Dennis (and neighbor Paul)!

I had a great experience with etrailer.I spoke with a lady named Paula and she was very helpful. Thanks for the great experience.

This product is exactly what it purports to be: a high quality, solid, nicely finished hitch receiver. There is a great installation video on YouTube that made the installation a breeze.

Got great info on the unit. Box was delivered pretty banged up due to the weight, so maybe some styrofoam or bubble wrap on the sharp ends is in order, especially for the amount of shipping charged. Didn't look right, but a couple of quick calls reassured me I was on the right track. Some firm raps with a hammer and a wire brush revealed the proper factory pre-drilled and TRHREADED holes! Got some assistance from a couple of friends and it actually went pretty well. Since this unit went on a 2005 Hyundai Tucson I took the added time to use some PB Blaster and a small wire brush to clean up and lubricate the threads. It really helped the install go smoother. We also made sure the new harness was routed right with enough slack and no pinching before the final tightening. The end product looked factory installed and pulls and tracks perfectly with no wobble or weaving. thanks, etrailer!!

Good service and delivery. Knowledge staff. The hitch fit perfectly. No issues at all

Very clean welding. Great paint. Pretty easy to install with a floor jack helping you position it. We didn't need to drop the muffler. It slid up along the edge of it, and using the jack we were able to hold it in place to get a bolt in each side. Instructions did not mention removing the "tow" hook on the passengers side. On my 2006 Tuscon the "welded nuts" inside the frame move around bit and have to be repositioned if they move very much. I'm very happy with hitch. I'll be using it with an aluminum cargo carrier to haul my wife's disability scooter.

by:

Super happy with this trailer hitch!! Fit my 2006 Kia sportage perfectly. It was very simple to install, took us maybe 30 minutes. We only dropped the exhaust on one side and were able to fit the hitch over it. Immediately used it to tow our new (old) jet ski to the water for the first time. I would 100% recommend ETrailer to anyone looking to get a hitch setup on their vehicle. A great price for a great product.

great product. easily installed

hitch and wireing worked great!

  • Everything Needed for a 2005 Hyundai Tucson to Tow a Trailer
You will need five separate parts to tow a trailer with your 2005 Hyundai Tuscon. You will need a trailer hitch, a ballmount, a pin & clip, a hitch ball, and a wiring harness. You have 7 different hitch options for your Tuscon. I would recommend purchasing and installing a hitch with a 2 inch receiver opening over a smaller 1-1/4 inch hitch opening; the larger hitch will give you a lot more options for accessories. Also, we happen to have a very competitively priced Curt Class III Trailer...

  • 2009 Hyundai Tucson Towing Capacity and Hitch
The Curt trailer hitch part # 13526 that you referenced does fit the 4 cylinder 2009 Hyundai Tucson that you have. This hitch has a capacity of 3,500 lbs trailer weight, but it looks like your Tucson is only rated to tow up to 1,000 lbs so that would be the figure you'd need to stay under. For trailer wiring you'd then want the Tekonsha kit part # 118397 as it's our most reliable option and doesn't require splicing to install. Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested...

  • Parts Needed to Tow a Boat Trailer With a 2008 Kia Sportage
We have everything that you need to tow a boat trailer with your 2008 Kia Sportage. In addition to the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13526, that you referenced, you will also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118401. We have installed this hitch and wiring harness on a 2008 Kia Sportage at our shop so I linked the videos for you to check out. I have also attached the installation instructions. One final item that I would recommend is the Ball Mount Kit, # 989900. This kit includes...

  • Installation of Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2007 Hyundai Tucson
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13526 is a confirmed fit for your 2007 Hyundai Tucson. I've attached installation videos to assist where you can clearly see the bumper fascia mounts are not in the way. The tow hooks are likely what he/she is seeing and they will be removed for this hitch installation. It is a simple installation as you can see in the video. The manufacturer states the installation time at 30 minutes for a professional and 60 minutes for...

  • Should Trailer Hitch Capacity Or Vehicle Capacity Be Used On 2006 Hyundai Tucson
Even though the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 13526, you have on your 2006 Hyundai Tucson is rated for 3,500 lbs, you will be limited by the towing weight capacity of your vehicle at 2,000 lbs. When towing or attaching anything to a hitch, you always need to use the lowest rated component for capacities.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Ball Mount for Rise Needed Without Bumper Fascia Contact
For your 2005 Hyundai Tucson, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13526. This will have a 12-1/4 inch measurement to the inside top of the receiver opening and from the hitch pin hole to the outer most part of the bumper will be 5-3/4 inches. For your ball mount, I recommend the MaxxTow Adjustable-Height Ball Mount # MT70068 to give you the bumper clearance and then recommend hitch ball # 63845 for a 2 inch ball or # 63847 for a 2-5/16 inch ball. Then use # e98880 for keyed...

  • Replacement Hardware for Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver that Fits a 2006 Hyundai Tucson
The Curt trailer hitch receiver, part # 13526, installs with six M10-1.25 X 35 hex tap bolts and six 3/8 inch conical toothed washers. If you're looking for the exact replacement hardware you can use part # RHK and select "Curt" in the drop down and enter "13526" into the model number and you'll receive the exact bolts and washers orignally included with the hitch. It is a confirmed fit for your 2006 Hyundai Tucson. I've linked a video of the hitch being installed onto a 205 Tucson for you.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessories for 2007 Kia Sportage
The number of cylinders the engine has will have NO bearing on which hitch will fit. Any of the hitches we offer for the 2007 Kia Sportage will fit 4 and 6 cylinder models. Although which engine you have doesn't dictate the hitch used, it will dictate the trailer wiring harness. For the best hitch at the best price point, I'd recommend going with the Curt Class III, part # 13526. If you plan on towing with the hitch, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For trailer...

  • Can a Hitch Extender be Used with Malone Hanger Bike Rack on a 2005 Hyundai Tucson
That Malone bike rack MPG2124 really does have sort of a backwards lean doesn't it. I looked through the literature for the bike rack and there is nothing stating that you can't use an extension and since that is the only way the rack will clear the back of your 2005 Hyundai Tucson you would have to use an extension. Like you said, the use of an extension reduces the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent. For hitch # 13526 the tongue weight capacity is normally 350...

  • Which Hitch Fits 2007 Hyundai Tucson Limited Edition LE

  • Recommendation for a 4-Bike Rack for a 2007 Hyundai Tucson
For all of your alternative framed bikes, I recommend going with a platform style rack like the Saris Freedom # SA4414B. This will be a great rack for you and all your passengers! If your Electra's have fat bike tires you can change out the wheel cradles for fat bike wheel cradles # SA4419. The neat thing about the Freedom is the way the cradles pivot and slide up and down the central masts. This allows the rack to grab your bike's tube at the perfect angle. To secure your bikes to your...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 2005 Kia Optima and 2008 Hyundai Tucson
For the 2005 Kia Optima, I have included a link to the installation instructions for Curt hitch # 24709. For the 2008 Hyundai Tucson, I have included a link to instructions for Curt hitch # 13526. The Curt hitch for the Tucson is the most popular hitch option for that vehicle. The Tucson will also have the higher towing capacity of the 2 vehicles if trailer weight is an issue. For the Optima I recommend going with the Curt trailer hitch # C11216 because it installs just a little different...

  • Curt Class III Trailer Hitch that Fits 2020 Kia Sportage
Curt has a similar Class III hitch that fits your 2020 Kia Sportage with the # C13281 but the # 13526 that you referenced is not a fit and would not work. I attached an install video for this on a similar 2020 Sportage as yours for you to check out. For trailer wiring you could then use the part # C56321 this is very easy to install and also very reliable.

  • How to Correct for Rattle Between Exhaust and Curt Hitch 13526 on 2006 Hyundai Tucson
No problem; we can help you correct that minor exhaust rattle from your new Curt hitch # 13526. This issue does come up once in a while and it is not a big deal to fix it. The linked article will guide you through the simple process of slightly moving the exhaust hangers to give you enough hitch-to-exhaust clearance to avoid any rattle. You are correct that use of rubber or similar material would not be a good idea due to heat.

  • Will Curt Trailer Hitch # 13526 Fit a 2009 Kia Sportage with Dual Exhaust
Yes, the CURT Trailer Hitch, # 13526, will fit a 2009 Kia Sportage with dual exhaust. If you look at the fourth picture on the product page, you will see the hitch installed on a dual exhaust model. The instructions, linked for reference, also show the hitch using a dual exhaust model as an example. If you plan to do some towing, the recommended ball mount is # AMSC2 and you can use pin and clip # PC3. For a ball, you can use # 19260 (1-7/8 inch diameter), # 19247 (2 inch diameter), or...

  • Could Trailer Hitch from 99' Dodge Durango Fit 2006 Hyundai Tucson
For a 2006 Hyundai Tucson a hitch from a 1999 Dodge Durango would not work. You'd need to go with a hitch like the Curt # 13526 which is custom fit for your vehicle. Hitch fits are very specific and typically only fit a vehicle model for a few years before updates to the vehicle require a new fit so fits between vehicle manufacturers is incredibly rare.
